Turquoise Mountain

Turquoise Mountain has partnered with Afghanistan's most skilled carpet producers and weavers for over 15 years, bringing exceptional handmade carpets to leading retailers, designers, and luxury hotels around the world.

Alongside our own collections of contemporary, transitional, and traditional designs, we collaborate with clients to create bespoke commissions and exclusive collections. Our carpets are crafted from highly prized Ghazni wool and silk, with a choice of more than 30 weave qualities and a variety of finishes.

Our international and in-country teams provide oversight at every stage of the design and production process, from graphing and colour matching through weaving, washing, and finishing. Through our community programmes and partnership with Label STEP, we help ensure fair wages and safe working conditions for the artisans and weavers who make our carpets.

Turquoise Mountain is a UK-based nonprofit founded by His Majesty King Charles III to support artisan communities in preserving their cultural heritage. In 2025 we received a Royal Warrant as a supplier of artisan products to the Royal Household and recently completed carpet commissions for Hillsborough Castle and Sandringham..
